	You can see many aspects to this song. I pesonally believe it is about perspective and how you look at things.

	I really think everyone is coming pretty close to the meaning, but being off by just a bit. I think that it's about someone going through a very hard time in their life. While they are having trouble (drowning) their friend just waves and smiles, because there is nothing the friend can do to help. No matter how loud you scream. The "You will be safe in here" is the friend doing whatever he can to help, but the person is drowning anyways. If you read it over, it all fits together pretty well like that. This is my interpretation.

	i think that egoat711 waz just using that as an example: like how he is drowning or w/e. like in his life and no one seems to notice no matter how he acts, oh yeah- does aNY1 no who sings Little things? the song from the movie the new guy?

	The whole song is built around the image of somone drowning and waving for help, but their friends on the shore just wave back.
