| I really think everyone is coming pretty close to the meaning, but being off by just a bit. I think that it's about someone going through a very hard time in their life. While they are having trouble (drowning) their friend just waves and smiles, because there is nothing the friend can do to help. No matter how loud you scream. The "You will be safe in here" is the friend doing whatever he can to help, but the person is drowning anyways. If you read it over, it all fits together pretty well like that. This is my interpretation. | |
