	"this song is about an army where evryone has been killed but one man and he has to try to beat the entire other army...and fast " Haha, what song are you listening to? One Man Army is the epitome of a personal anthem. Despite the redundancy of the "individualism" topic that one poster above me mentioned, I do think it is clearly what the song is about. Maida remembers when he was just another face in the crowd, and the entire song is about him stepping out of that crowd and walking proudly in front of it. The message is that the "One Man Army" (the person who doesn't follow the crowd) is walking in front of everybody else instead of tripping up and falling behind it, which Raine admits to doing in the past. His advice is to a person he knows whom he sees experiencing the same struggles. He encourages that person to pour out their soul, their feelings with the "gasoline tin" metaphor, which kind of works in this song in two ways. With a gasoline tin, you don't want the tin itself, but rather the contents inside of it. Raine wants the subject of the song to be like the gasoline tin, to want people to be eager to pour that person out to see inside of them. In addition, the gasoline tin functions as a "burning" metaphor, which you can pick up from the "bare feet" line. Take that gasoline, walk proudly to the "house of the conformists", and burn it down, then quietly walk away.

	To me this song is about an atheist, since I am one. From some of OLP's songs, I get the impression that atleast they are agnostic or don't belive in any dumb gods at all. "I remeber falling for their lies"...i associate that with people esp family members trying to feed me lies on stories of what gods did or didn't do, blah, blah, blah. And I feel like a One Man Army in a country where there are so few atheists.

	i think the song is about all the people in the guy slife that have treated him bad and let hinm just slip away and he doesn't want to remember that he just wants to remember how its was when it was just him

	This is my favourtite OLP song by far! Its about letting go of the world around you, your past, the people who bring you down and learning to be alone. Relying on you and only you, and not being afraid to do so. About realising who you are, and accepting it without caring what anyone else may think. This song gives me strenght and courage to face the day, and helps me to be comfortable in my own skin. It helps me let go of all the shit the people around me throw and just go to a special place inside my head.

	Plastic people. Fake good intentions,fake loves,fake actions,you could say they're total hypocrites.So what if we're not as good looking as people? So what if we're not as amazing as some people? So what if we're not wealthy? Does it matter,you'd find someone who would love you in the end, to me,this song means that he wants to be himself. He knows himself,he knows what he should do,he's having problems,but he wants to forget the time he was a hypocrite.
