Der_Bulle> maybe you're right. but just beacuse he mention/"speaks to" her musn't make the song about her. sure. I think it's more about life itself and some of the struggles that he's been through and now he is proud of what he's done and want to somewhat dedicate it to his mom. hmm, so, you're right in that way hm, however... love the song

"If you can hear me, show me a sign, please send her a butterfly or two " -- Could this be a reason on why the latest CD "Payable On Death" has the butterfly cover?? It makes perfect sense.

The reason for the woman on the front cover of "Payable On Death" is because when Sonny was a child his mother used to have a little china woman who looked just like that and it remind him of his mother who was a beautiful as a butterfly, hence the butterfly on the front cover.

This song is about Sonny's mum who died of cancer. It affected him alot and this is a song to her about all the things that have happened to him since that time. I think its such a sweet song that I cried the first time I heard it :-(

It's about Sonny's mom. It becomes really clear when he speaks to his mother. I really like the song. One of the best of P.O.D. Sad they don't make any more songs like this one. And sad they mostly sing about God, but that's my opinion (I don't really believe anymore).
