| Hell ya man. Great song, killer guitar riff I'd love to play that. I'm guessing it's about christianity maybe, and how it's forced upon us by our parents. Unique rythym in this song, god damn it's awesome. | |

| You can''t really look at pantera lyrics and say they advocate religion though. Read Heresy. The metal that IS christian loses much of its power when it pushes (either implicitly or explicitly) religious agendas. Pantera doesn't write they're lyrics as a way to say "Dont be religious", its more like "Dont force your religion on me". | |

| Heh, Phil is religious. Notice how the next track on this album has the line "Mad at God"? Also, Read the lyrics to "Floods". The lyrics: "With decline in mind End not far" - means if you don't believe in God, hell awaits.. "We're left hanging alone here He pulls us from nails Shatters our bones Leaving us crippled and strewn Boiling my corpse in the blood of his children" - what hell is like "Praying for his god to prevail Burying us with loved ones To sleep with shelled children of the sixth dimension" - believing in God will save you and send you to the dimension of Truth (6th dimension).. in other words, you'll know the truth.. "the truth will set you free" sound familiar? Pantera has many mentions of God in their songs. Don't just look at the song titles. Most metal is, in fact, Christian. Open your eyes. If you don't like it, listen to rap. | |
