This song is hilarious, A sheer sign of Eddie's lyrical genius.

Yeah I have a lot to say about this song it's awesome although the chainsaw noises sound like an egg beater, and another interesting fact is the fact that it's onl been played 10 times or soemthing and they've only just started playing it again, they played it a bunch of times in '92,'93 and '94 and they've only started playing it again, I think Ed finds the humour in it again.

Dirty Frank was written when Pearl Jam was on tour opening for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. While traveling between venues Pearl Jam played with the idea that the driver of their bus was actually a serial killer. This was soon after Jeffrey Dauhmer was apprehended which coincides with the reference to him in the first line of the song.

Oh, ho, ho. This song rocks. "His bus. Your trust", hahahahahahahaha. Was this written by Pearl Jam alone, or did the Red Hot Chili Peppers participate? Because it sounds like Pearl Jam is doing a RHCP impression.

I'm not surprised they wrote it when they were playing with RHCP. It sounds so much like Give it Away.

i think pearl jam wrote it themselves rhcp arnt that smart with lyrics, but pj did steal the cook them just to see the look on their face part from a rhcp song called freaky styley (fuck them just to see....) and there seemes to be a bit of george cluinton voice on it that reminds me of jack irons' time in rhcp thats prob about it

This ain\'t the only Peppers connection. Future Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons was one of the founding members of RHCP.

Hahahahaha, I couldn't stop laughing when I finally read the lyrics. I didn't like the song much at first, but this is one of the best songs PJ has ever written after reading the lyrics.
