an other interpretation: compare the brain of jfk to planet earth and compare the bullet to a big astroid. the whole world will be different soon; will not be there anymore when the atroid strikes in. in my opinion this interpretation is a good follow up for the song do the evolution.

i think this song is about government corruption and how they make some people believe what they want through the spread of propaganda (You? You've been taught, whipped into shape, now they got you in line. Yeah. Stand behind the stripes. There will be order, so give it a good mind there.) somewhere deep in the federal archives someone has the brain,i mean its kinda hard to just misplace a dead presidents brain

Very cool song to lead off Yield, but for some reason, this song doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the album. And "Do the Evolution".

Well, it's pretty obvious that the song is partly about JFK's missing brain (which will probably never be found)... Eddie Vedder, ever the visionary, sings that "the whole world will be different soon..." surely meaning that the monkeys will have their revenge on Seattle

"The whole world will be different soon. The whole world will be relieved". Relieved....now isn't that referring to a good thing? And about Hitler that is true, but is it possible he was born with one testicle? And why take his testicle?

Probably because the rest of the album isn't as fast-paced as those songs :)

"Brain of J" is about the dissapperance of John F. Kenedy's brain from a secured flight back to Washington DC after his assination. The second verse addresses a government coverup with officials threatening anyone, probably the doctors that worked on JFK, who knew what happened that day. The assanation is commonly considered the loss of innocence for our country hence the chorus about the world will be different soon.
