not really. If you play it backwards, eddie is saying: "Oh, Peter Townsend, how you saved my life." It's really quite clever how he got such a comprehensible bunch of words form both directions of the recording. He loves The Who, and he likes himself some privacy. Clever.

amazing i think its to do w/ what your mind thinks about eddie. i think he made this song because he wants people to show there energy of him towards people it touches me to hear all the diffrent expressions in my mind because im always changing what i think of ed he can be a real dick head sometime

notice the comma? that is commonly used when you write your name with the last name first. it allows you to invert words. without a comma, the phrase would be "To pry" which means to impose on something or someone. Vedder doesn't want people to pry into his life. He put the phrase backwards because if you play the song backwards, there is a private message about his personal musical tastes and how he believes music saved his life.
