| Pinks childhood screwed him up far too much.... once he woke up to the world behind the "wall" it was all to late .... his mother went to far "mother did it have to be so high?" as is in "mother" so by this time hes preparing for overdose which is explained in comfortably numb | |

| In order to fully understand what they are saying you have to listen to part 1 & 2 also. Part one has to do with his father dieing in a war before he was born. Part two has to do with people controlling you. As for the another brick one the wall I think it stands for all the soilders that died in the past wars and all they got was their name on a wall. Just another brick in the wall. Because pretty much thats all they get. | |

| I think this song means that hes stuck so deep inside the wall that other comforts cant cheer him up and i think the writing on the wall sybolises that people are trying to get him out of it by telling him that theres nothing wrong and that everything is ok | |

| no it is an emotional or pscological wall that he built to protect him self from the out side. No one is inside so he cant get burned. Pink had an horrid life. His dad dies in war, his mom is over protective, his school sucks, his wife is cheating on him, he breaks down and the raod manager has to drug him to perform, then he turns into a neo-nazi guy, finally he tries himself and he forces himself to "Tear Down The Wall". | |

| Pink (the character in the movie) is saying he doesnt need anything from anyone. Seeing the writing on the wall, i think means he knows what the wall is going to do, then he says again that he doesnt need anything at all... He has accepted what is going to happen. The last two lines are pretty much representing his whole life, every song before this. | |

| the character is convincing himself that he can live without whatever he has sought throughout his life. love, and help. when he says "i have seen the writings on the wall" he is saying that he knows the whole deal. the medication doesnt work, perhaps it makes the situation worse, and it seems that whoever hes loved has left him. he knows how it is. and he is denying his own need for such things. sour grapes | |
