Vera? bottom 10? You kidding me? I saw Rogers band perform this last week at the DSOTM concert and it was amazing. Very moving song, especially live. "We'll meet again Don't know where Don't know when But I know we'll meet again Some sunny day" ~ Vera Lynn

vera told the soldiers they would meet again but roger or "pink" is angry because his father did not come back so he is saying Vera, What has become of you or Why did you lie any ways one of the best pink floyd songs They rock

It's about the lie. It's about leading people off to War for a lie. It sums up the Wall perfectly. Here's this kid who's Dad doesn't come back... You can have any bombastic reproach you want (when the tigers broke free), but when you have a song like this... that's so understated... it's power lies in what's unsaid. Vera sings hopeful songs to "Pink's" deafened ears, and this is his reply.

this is possibly my favorite pink floyd song. although it is way too short. still genius.
