| If only if only The woodpecker cried Today's love songs were more like this one Seriously, this is not some sappy poppish love song that is put out these days. This a love song (for Barrett's girlfriend) that uses interesting images and an extended metaphor. It's the kind of writing that takes talent. Anyone can write, "I love you" in a new way. Few people can make it interesting. Barrett would fall under the second category. | |
