| I believe it means that Pink's mother has blocked out almost all things socially that normal people experience, to protect him. But because she was so over protective, she blocked out so much that he was too vulnerable, so he had to build it higher, and this cycle continues until he finally loses it in "The Trial." that's my interpretation.. | |

| This song gives the best definition (IMHO) of "the wall": it protects you from the outside, but traps you inside. The mother is one of the wall (I think there are many of "walls" in PF life), he knows she will always take care of him, but she will over-protect him. That's why the questions (momma should I do this ou that): because he knows she always will lead him to a safe (sometimes, TOO safe) path. | |
