| OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!! AN ENDING THAT IS EXACTLY LIKE ALICE IN CHAINS'S 'HATE TO FEEL'!!!!!!! This is the only terrifying song (Ending) by Pink Floyd. And I am also a fan of Alice In Chains whose only terrifying song (Ending) is 'Hate To Feel'. | |

| I agree with idiotic, it is meant to be Pink Floyd's "alter ego". Though the "wall" provides protection, it does not allow for interpersonal connections. Thus his divorce and his inability to make a connection with anybody else (i.e. Is There Anybody Out There). Yet, during the original "The Wall" concert, another band did play this song in place of Pink Floyd. However, most of the concert-goers didn't even notice, adding to Pink Floyds complex about how the fans were not listening to what they were saying. I can see how his song may have several interpretations. I think that this song is deceptively complex with its overlapping themes. Not a very easy one to interpret with one single explanation. | |

| no no no. in an interview with waters, he said that he felt alienated from the audience when he performed. he realized that there were fans in the audience who couldnt even hear the music but still were screaming. he realized that people were there for the experience rather than the music which pink floyd hated. they were all about the music. This song is about people who are there for the experience "to feel the warm thrill of confusion" in the end of this song you can here someone saying to bomb the audience. in another interview waters said that he imagined dropping bombs on the audience and how they wouldnt even notice because they were so wrapped up in the 'experiece' | |

| just to point somthing out the first one is called in the flesh? with a question mark and the second is called. in the flesh with no question mark..maybe it means that b4 people werent sure about the "serrogate band" and at the end they were brainwashed into being sure | |

| Yeah, but it's not Pink Floyd (as a band) who's stating these lyrics, it's Pink (the character from The Wall... you have to know the basic plot of the album to understand the song). | |
