Phew! back into the verse and after that play the part in which
Brian sings something like " I'm right here, I'm right here."
Finally do the solo part to end up with. You'll have to work out
the order of the parts if you don't understand what goes when but it
isn't hard.
Its easier to use a capo on this song ( at the first fret ) ,
especially with the beginning but I wouldn't bother as changing from
the first fret to the 15th as after a while it becomes fairly simple.
( consequently, Stef always has his guitar tuned up half a step but
its just as easy to play using E A D G.

| Brian Molko initially intended this song to be about drugs.. Placebo promote self-esteem and being proud of yourself, this song is basically saying hang onto your IQ: your intelligence; to your ID: whatever that differentiates you from everyone else. It is said that in this world intelligence is of most worth.. Brian obviously values knowledge, and in an interview he says "nothing excites me anymore". Direct quote from an interview: "The state of abandoning yourself to something implies loss of identity. It’s about trying to see your way through whatever’s stopping you from operating in relation to others". | |
