About someone who was crippled at 19 after a brawl "when everyone's noses start to bleed". The assailant dreams of being a movie star, and the crippled person wants him to always remember what he's done, "after 6 months off (in prison?) for bad behaviour"

To me this song isn't self centred, it's somebody reminding themselves not to go to far into the decadence that fame can bring (hence the cocaine reference) and to remember the people who for various reasons couldn't forfill their dreams. I don't neccessarily think that it's from Brian's point of view, maybe he's putting himself in someone else's position.

Remember me when you're the one that's silver screened(remember me when your a star) Remember me when you're the one you always dreamed(remember me when you who i made you the person you always dreamed to be) Remember me when whenever noses start to bleed(remember me and how i used to have nose bleeds) Remember me special needs(remember how i was always needing special help) Just 19 and sucker's dream (she was just 19, beautiful a guys dream) I guess I thought you had the flavour(thought she had what he was looking for) Just 19 and dream obscene(she was only 19 how could he think she was for him) With six months off for bad behaviour(six months off for misbehaving, maybe a brawl or fight causing suspension of career) Remember me when you clinch your movie deal(remember how he helped her get the movie deal she wanted) Think of me stuck in my chair that has four wheels(think of him being stuck in his wheel chair) Remember me through flash photography and screens(remember how he did all that for her because he loved her) Remember me special dreams(remember how his dreams were shattered cause of his disabilities) Just 19 this sucker's dream(she was just 19, beautiful a guys dream) I guess I thought you had the flavour(thought she had what he was looking for) Just 19 and dream obscene(she was only 19 how could he think she was for him) With six months off for bad behaviour(six months off for misbehaving, maybe a brawl or fight causing suspension of career) Just 19 and sucker's dream(she was just 19, beautiful a guys dream) I guess I thought you had the flavour(thought she had what he was looking for) Just 19 and dream obscene(she was only 19 how could he think she was for him) With six months off for bad behaviour Remember me...(remember what he did for her, how he helped her get to where she was only to have her think she was to good for him)

Sounds to me like what everyone else is saying but with a twist. Just 19 this sucker's dream I guess I thought you had the flavour- sorta suggests like, the person is like an older boyfriend who injures someone pretty severely. that or just maybe being taken advantage of by someone older
