Placebo
Swallow.

From the Brick shthouse tab archive.
Tabbed by Ian Edwards.

A really weird tune especially the lyrics.  Instead of having chorus,
pre-chorus, outro, verse etc... I will list what order the riffs go in
after tabbing them all out.

apparantly this was an instrumental to begin with. Brian and Stef recorded themselves talking while on acid and played it (with a voice synthesiser)over the top.

Confiscate - to seize her razor blade - suicidal confiscate - to seize her once more hey marilyn - refering to a girl it kinda went like this stay with me stay with me stop stop stammering - he wanted her to be with him, and then she wouldnt, and she'd leave long breaks inbetween, but to my it seems shed come back still I uh forgot where I put it I can't remember where I put it -- i think this refers to suicidal tendecies also, like how there was the razor, and now he lost it swallow - pills are a way to suicide also, which you cna swollow them marilyn where I put it yeah I well well I it kinda kinda went like this - then once again its backto the same story of the girl and the leaving, and the breaks in between but returning Also the "I uh, I uh, I.." bit explains stammering, because theres the pause in between of what hes saying

Creepy. I love it :P It sounds more like them on acid to me, but I can also see the suicidalness it, like what strwberryfids said. There's much more talking and lyrics, but you cant hear it behind the music.

To me it sounds like someone who should keep drugs (for a dealer or something) tries to explain on the phone that he can't find them. He is confused. He is so nervous that he starts to stammer. Maybe he has taken drugs before, too. The "stop" could mean someone is intimidating him, he is scared and wants the person on the other end to stop. Thats what I thaught when I heard it first after I finally had found the lyrics. Before I could only understand half of what was actually said because of the mumbling... however, grat song (must be - it's Placebo :) )

i think its their interpretation of marilyn monroe's suicide. its supposed to be her talking to herself. she feels lonely. she's a little bit insane or drugged up. she keeps taking pills but she doesnt remember how many she's taken. and maybe she didnt really intend on killing herself.. she was just so depressed. i think its really cool how they did that... even if its a bit morbid. but its genius to understand a persons final thoughts.
