Song: "Taste in Men"
by PLACEBO
from the album "Black Market Music"
tabbed by: Guido C. <areaitaliano2001@yahoo.it>
Note: I don't know which is the exact tuning. I think this tab
is correct but you've got to use the standard tuning (E, A, D, G)
Anyway the basic riff is easy, just check the rythm
G|------------------|
D|------------------|
A|------------------|
E|-3-0h3-3/10-10---|
At 2:36
G|-----| |----------|
D|-----| |----------|
A|-----| |----------|
E|-3-3-| |-3-3-3----| repeat this many times
Sometimes in the live versions for the verses Stefan plays the D on the second string:
G|-----------------|
D|-----------------|
A|-----------5-5---|
E|-3-0h3-3/-------|
At the end...
G|---------------------|
D|---------------------|
A|---------------------|
E|-3-0h3-3/10-10-10---|

| Actually, the intro is sampled from the intro to Pink Floyd's "Let There Be More Light" As for the meaning, here's my two cents. He's with someone who he treats badly (doing nothing on Valentines Day was the clue there lol) and manipluates ("Come back to me awhile") but the cry is that if the lover doesn't like it they ought to change their taste in men. Either that, or its unhappiness with a relationship, and an internal plead with himself to change his own taste in men. | |

| 'killing time on valentines waiting for the day to end' is the single best lyric about not having someone to love, ever. ok maybe im exaggerating. but its damn good. | |

| About Brian (and people like himself) being androgynous, sleeping with whomever, or at least that's what the video suggests, my first impression to the song was a woman or man dating someone Brian hates and her not having any attraction to him. Like; her prefering more many macho men and not more afeminate people like Brian. | |

| i think that it has many different meanings maybe not..i mean "change your taste in men" could mean what kat kat says or it could mean change your taste from women to men...and this may be referred to a man or to a woman.kind of complicated | |
