	To me, its partly what blacksheep55 pointed out. Its about the uncertainity of future. How we plan so many things, but dont realise that we might not live to see it all happen. And about being in troubles, then dying, without having to face them ("All my designs simplified.."). I think its something like that.

	In some philosophical circles there's something called the Eternal Return-you will endlessly come back into the same body (well perfect body) and live the same life again exactly as you did before, with no ability to change things. So you're immortal but you don't know it. The other imagery just decorates the song-he's talking about going back to a certain point in time (after he kills himself in the car) to...make things right? Make things worse? He's certainly not optimistic that's for sure. Always thought it was "...the endings of the sons and mothers" myself.

	i love this song..they're great live...on the bootleg of last years tour (during which the playlist basically stayed the same)steve said something like "this is a lesson on how to use two chords for ten minutes.." i thought the whole song, however simplistic or not, is masterfully mixed/written/produced..i thought the drums were dead on..there is such a thing as too much of a good thing..

	This is the song I want playing in my head while I die. I think it symbolizes the transition between death and the afterlife.
