Whilst the literal meaning is obvious, the metaphor I think is about how life can be repititive - that drum beat whilst amazing is repititive and puts me off this song. "stooooned again" and other lyrics refer to doing the same thing everyday or at least routinely, and possibly along with some of Groundhog's Day's lyrics encourage variety to keep life interesting. Well for a while I got high every night and listened to Primus, now I do other things whilst still playing them occaisonally and it is more interesting/satisfying!

These lyrics perfectly capture the feeling of being unemployed or in a dead end job and having nothing better to do than watch tv and smoke grass. Not that I would know anything about that....

First of all, I love this song. It braught a tear to my eye watching it on the Hullicinogenetics DVD. I believe he is either saying "Trust, again" "Thrust again" or anything with a "t". why? dont ask me. its primus.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghetti_western Last week, I watched the Primus - Hallucino-Genetics Live DVD while my mind was numbed by THC. Give it a shot, it's an amazing video, especially in an altered state of mind.

I think that at the end he is repeating the line: "Start, start again" as in referance to a going 'back to the drawing board' type thing - new piece of paper, begin attempting to write some new material, again...etc. I love this song, such a perfect paradox in meaning.
