I should've realised it was a personal song and not about a random town or whatever, in other songs he says he had a friend called Fats and in 'The Air Is Getting Slippery' it says he sold meth. I haven't heard the bootleg mentioned above but in 'The Air is...' he ends the verse about him quite negatively, in a way, which would make sense I guess. You get the idea he hates the meth dealing but nothing can be done about it - maybe a metaphor about pointlessness or feeling unable to help/change things.

the Quintissential Primus song, or at least as close as you could et to one. I'm not sure if its praising blue-collar workers or mocking them

i've tried just about every drug there is, but i'll never touch a hit of meth.

Those three guys up there are right. A line that stood out to me is this: While curious George's drug patrol Is out here hunting snipe Curious George likely means Bush Sr, and "hunting snipe" pretty much means a wild goose chase. One time on King of the Hill, Hank and the adults take out Bobby and the kids to hunt a made-up creature called a snipe for their "straight arrow" batch. Bobby ends up whacking an extrememly endangered whooping crane but that's another story. The point is he's criticizing the massive failure and waste of American tax dollars known as the War on Drugs.

sorry, *this song was originally inspired by/written about the recent (early 90's) news stories about large numbers of blue collar workers who were addicted to meth. had to clear up some stuff.

I heard him say this song is about an old guy who can't keep up with the younger folks so he takes some speed to get through the day.

No real explanation needed for this song. Obvoiusly it's about how blue-collar workers are the ones who keep things going.
