Just to shake my head and wonder why this was even said... Les uses slaps, pops, strums, and plucks in pretty much every song. Those are by far not all of the bass guitar techniques, either. Les actually plays with his fingernails in a percussive manner (hence his unquiely thin sound). He is also a master of tapping on the bass guitar. I know that comment was made very long ago, but I just read it today... so fuck me.

Sorry but I forgot to say that many if not all of his songs have a literal (or almost) personal meaning and a more subtle metaphorical meaning, most apparent in Groundhog's day probably as they're seperate.
