I like this song for what it is...a great riff, weird lyrics, awesome offbeat performance, high energy playing. These guys remind of Rage Against The Machine in a way, mostly with guitar playing. Les's stage presence is almost like Tom Morello's in a way. Just a great group all around, and a great song with a great video. I want to be a fisherman.

I heard (i forget where, but i read it on the internet) the other day that it was about an actual ship sinking, which i suppose would lead to the lyric: "He doesn't see the danger dawning. Four hours up, oh the ocean swelled and swelled, The fog rolled in it started raining. "The starboard bow." "Oh my God we're going down!" The do not hear his frantic mayday." I'm not sure if that's true, but it sounds good. Damn good song, too.

It's about a young lad who wants to grow up and be a fisherman (could be about a young Les like Wurby said.)

In the live version from Suck on This, they begin this song by playing the intro to Rush's "YYZ".
