When Darkness Reigns By Project 86
tabbed by Ben Schwartz
IamSkaBoy@home.com

The opening note is

-------
-------
-------
--9----

the verse goes like this

----------
----------
----------
--0-h2-/9-

remember that / means to slide down

then it goes into Chorus 1

---------------------
--2------------------
-------4-4-4-4-4-4---
----2----------------

end on in chorus 1

----------
----------
----4-----
----------

then it goes into a little solo thing, I really wouldn't
call it a solo but it's only bass.

------------------------
---------5-5-5-5-4------
---4-4----------------4-
-------------------2----

it does it a couple of times

then it will go back to the verse and then a change up

while the change up is going play this note softly

----------
----------
--2-------

then the drums and the bass will kick in and everything else
and strum this part

----------
----4-----
----2-----
----------

it's just a little power chord

okay back to the chorus it's a little different

chorus 2

---------------------
---------------------
--4-4-4-4-4-4--------
----------------2---- play this 3 times then go back to the original
chorus part play the original chorus part 1 time in this pattern over
and over till the chorus is done.

then it will be just the guitar and every time he changes his note
the bass and the drums kick in again just like before. play this.

--------
--------
--4--4--
--------

ok we are to this one part in the song that we haven't heard before.
the same riff over and over until the songs ends play this.

riff

------------------------------------
------------6-----------------------
--4-4-4-4------4--------------------
------------------5-5-5-5-4-3-2-0---

oh yah and at the last note on the end play this note and slide all
the way to the first fret on the E string.

----------
----------
----------
----9----

remember that means to slide up

ok i assure you that this song is perfectly right.

Close Cuevo.. really close. Its how Satan can really mess us up by making us think a problem that we've fallen into, we can't get back out of. We blame ourselves for it. "I might as well bow in shame Overmatched, outwitted, defeated is my only name I believe everything you tell me You've got me convinced I'm guilty" And durring that time is when "Darkness reigns" "When darkness reign across the channels and mediums I feel the loss Face to face with the possible death of dreams Mental purity fades to the obscene Hence the search for another crutch Another void-fill, another can to serve as much" Thats talking about how media often makes people feel worthless, and they search for a 'crutch' (Drugs, sex, alchohol, ect) "You'd have me adopt that suicide You'd have me succumb without reply But you forgot the thousand deaths I've died You'd have me continue this pace You'd have me join your race But that grave will be nothing but an empty space Arise from the dead, O sleeper, prepare for the battle cry Because this is the hour when truth divides..." This is when he remembers that this world is only temporary.. He knows soon enough Jesus will return and he'll be perfected and knows that everything that happens, all the pain/defeat won't last.

Best Project song ever. The first 2 minutes are an amazing build up from just a voice speaking to the rocking chorus. In the beginning of the song he's talking to Satan. The song speaks of how it seems the battle is lost and how darkness reigns, but there will come a time when truth divides and when Satan and his legions will be defeated.
