| Thank you Tony for finally saying this .. most people are focused on the three bands Chris mentions in the song but if you read the lyrics you get a sense that he is speaking of a much larger, more widespread problem in the entire music industry. I know so many people that become vegan or what-not simply because their favorite bands are doing it .. Hating Bush because NoFX tells them to .. Buying Vans because that punk band on MTV is wearing them .. Going to Warped Tour because it is a punk show so it must be subversive right? Propagandhi are of the few and fleeting breaths left of "punk" It started as an ideal and that is what it should remain .. Ignorance is not punk .. If you are going to believe in something how about doing it due to the research you have done first hand and not because your favorite fucking band said to do right after pimping their latest "emo-t-shirt" or "anti-corporate" company .. These 'subversive companies' are often tiomes just as much to blame as the Nike's of the world. Propagandhi is about educating the people .. as they say "Knowledge is power" .. they are not out searching for people to jump on their bandwagon but at rather conveying their raw emotion in reference to some bloated social problems with the world .. If you notice they never tell you how to think in their songs .. some people may be proponents of liking propagandhi because they are 'anti-everything man!!' but in actuality they are hoping to educate by influence .. listening to their cd is not a lesson .. it is a catalyst .. go out and read a book .. turn off your CNN and actually find out what is going on in the world .. Remain vigilant in the face of discension .. Never claim you know the answers but be proud for keeping your eyes fucking open. | |

| Trip Tiks are a map you can get from most travel agencies that will outline your route. Like say you were going from Toronto to Winnipeg, they would have a map (or two) and they would hi lite the most efficient route for you to take. In short, it would be the worst job in the world to have. | |

| 'silencing competing messages rounding off the jagged edges' this end part i think refers to endorsement. by having a celebrity [say rock band] endorsing your product it puts your product way above other competitors ('silencing..') and often covers overs the actual fact that the product is a load of junk/flawed and you don't really want it anyways ('rounding..') | |
