| I think the line "The answer to your prayers" is followed by "They'll drop you anywhere with no rip cord". | |

| I love this song. I think it's about someone who died in a parachuting accident and maybe subconciously commited suicide. Or maybe not.... | |

| little anecdote : the american parachute soldiers in WW 2 had two parachutes but British ones only had one. just while we're on ripcords. if you had no ripcord you'd die, maybe its a metaphor for something, but i dunno what. | |

| "No ripcord, the answer to your prayers will drop you anywhere" I suppose to the americans, the meaning of ripcord is somewhat lost- they don't realize its the little string that pulls out the parachute, and without it, you'll fall anywhere, it honestly doesn't matter, you're dead. "You had enough" "the answer to your prayers," its a sad, sad song, set to a somewhat punkish sounding guitar riff that sounds like it wants to die. But for me, the best part is the use of my favorite word, the way it goes, too, "its inevitable, its inevitable." I think ill give it a whirl now, and think about dying. | |

| Greenplastic has better lyrics, actually from the band. Soul destroyed with clever toys for little boys. It's inevitable, inevitable, it's a soul destroyed. You're free until you drop, you're free until you've had enough and you don't understand. No ripcord, no ripcord, no ripcord, no ripcord | |

| I'm Just going to say it's a privilage to be the first to comment on this song , and not go on about how I can't believe that noone has commented already. OK so with that lets get right into it. THom Yorke is a great writer and he sings with so much passion , it 's hard not to love RadioHead songs. This one in particular though Short in length, Sweet playingtune no doubt, Thom maybe on to something here. I mean yeah there just toys growing up but when they decide your ready. Government or the gun dealer down the block hand over the big guns and reasons for war. IT not so shocking if you think about it you've played with that fire before. IT's inevitable NO Rip COrd Is anything going to save us, them, and YOu? A thousand miles an hour , The Politics of power, ain';t that the truth an answer to your Prayers ....... NO RIP CORD yeah the only version I heard was an acoustic live performance And lets just say it F---in' Rocked | |

| A thousand miles an hour In politics and power That you don't understand The answer to your prayers will drop you anywhere. Great line. Be Careful what you wish for. Soul destroyed with clever toys is saying the same thing. You're free until you drop. In the plane you're comfortable zooming along and then you want more. So you jump out and you're no longer in control and its tragic. Thats about all I could suck out of it... | |

| Those lyrics are terrible... way off. So destroyed With clever toys For little boys It's inevitable Inevitable It's a so destroyed You feed it til you drop You feed it til you had enough And you don't understand *** A thousand miles an hour With politics and parties that you don't understand *** The answer to your prayers Will drop you anywhere | |
