From this song I always got a sense that it was about materialism, and trends, and fashion, and a hatred and fear of these things and the mindless tools they turn everyone into. "Hitler hairdo" - I think of Hitler, and people blindly following him, and apply that to a hairdo - people blindly following trends, whether they make sense or not.

it's from the idea "the karma police will get you". The last part of "For a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself ", Thom added that because during shooting the video he fainted from carbon monoxide exposure or something like that.
