| Okay, here is how I interpret the song: (my line-for-line translation) What does a man do? What does a man do? The difference between man and animal, I cannot understand, WHAT? He is with his daughter, she is young and pretty, And then he is like a dog, mating with his own flesh and blood. What do you do? What do you feel? What are you, except only an animal? What does a woman do? What does a woman do? The difference between animal and man, I cannot understand. She dips the feather in it's blood, writing herself a letter. (she writes of the) lifeless lines of her childhood As her father slept by her. It pretty much says how humanity is basically as civilized as animals, because many still abide by only their primal impulses.. definitely everyone doesn't have incestuous relations with their parents, but we all have some aggresive, animal-like tendencies.. (^_^) Hope that didn't sound too out of whack. | |
