	I think this song is about the nature of women (at least of some women). they are proud. they are not always as sweet as it seems. in fact, they are often "evil inside" (and I have to know it - I am a woman :) First, the poor young boy does everything for her ("tiefe brunnen muss man graben") because he thinks she is pure and beautiful ("Wenn man klares Wasser will") until he realizes, that she is wicked and tricky ("tiefe Wasser sind nicht still"). But by then, it`s too late.

	I like the German lyrics. The translation somehow can't describe the mood and atmosphere of the song really well....

	I absolutely LOVE the line "Die sonne scheint". It gives the song such a dark and morbid edge.
