| Rockaway Bch is an a real place. The Ramones are singing about their youth, and going to the beach. Rockaway Beach is in Queens, NY not far from where the Ramones grew up in Forest Hills, Queens. They used to hitchhike or take the bus. which is about an hour trip. "bus ride is to slow - they blast out the disco on the radio" which is a slap at the Italian kids (like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever) who would play loud disco on the ride. | |

| Caden Moore, Joey wasn't the one who loved to go to Rockaway Beach. It was Dee Dee (if you own Loud Fast Ramones, read the booklet. Johnny mentions that Rockaway Beach was "a Dee Dee thing") | |
