i think they were being sarcastic or something, as it reads in the little booklet that came with "Ramones: Anthology (Hey Ho Let's Go!)": "...in London. We played there for the first time on July 4, 1976, while in America they were celebrating the Bicentennial. Outside The Round House during sound check, these cool-looking guys were hanging around.
