	Joe Strummer loved Taxi Driver (and for a time had a Travis Bickle mohawk). So, yeah, I do see a similarity with Red Angel Dragnet.

	Travis Bickle was the main character in Taxi Driver, and this song is sung from his POV. BTW, Taxi Driver is one of the best movies ever made, and if you haven't seen it yet, you really should go rent it.

	FUCK YEAH, this song gets me pumped. This song is about how Travis Bickle (the badass psychopathic protagonist from the film Taxi Driver) lashes out after he can no longer stomach all the crime and corruption in the streets of New York and goes on a shooting spree against some pimp-"suck on this" and he shoots him in the gut. Taxi Driver is a phenomenal film (in my opinion it should have won best picture, De Niro-a really gifted actor-should have won best actor, and Scorsese should have won best director but the oscars are bullshit and they gave it to Rocky. Shows what the academy knows, I'm an actor so I do know film and acting). "You talkin to me."

	Yeah, i think it's probably De Niro's best movie, either that or The Deer Hunter. Great song, it's basically about the frustration you feel seeing the dark underbelly of a city and being unable to get out. You kinda have to watch the movie to really get it the way they meant.

	i actually just watched that movie for the first time yesterday (yeah, b/c of the song) and i liked it. it was good but different then other movies. idk, u have to watch it to get what they ment you have to watch the movie like shadow said.
