| In "Scar Tissue" Kiedis' autobiography he says: "Around that time, I had met a young mother at a meeting. She was living in a YWCA with her baby girl, trying to get sober but failing miserably. the beauty and sadness and tragedy and glory, all wrapped into one, of this mother/daughter relationship was evoked by the vibe of that music." So guess thats where the lyrics came from. It is such a good song though. My friend told me it was about committing suicide though... he's from the "funk-rock-with-a-fast-crazy-beat-only" school of Chili fans.... eg. doesn't appreciate the beauty of this song. | |

| I agree with KrazyKyle... I think this song is about a parent growing old and their child is "drifting and floating and fading away". I think the part with "little lune" is possibly about a nickname that the parent called their child. They are reminiscing about how they used to see little lune all day. But thats just my opinion... such a beautiful song. | |
