sorry...got more...it remebered how shocking it was that 8 words can spark such a huge discussion on religion, punk sects, MTV, and denial. those eight words : Christ sacrificed his flesh on the cross for me. how something so true sparks so many arguments is amazing. but i think god means to cause controversy like that. i think that god means it though. u crazy interent surfers get to hear what u've been avoiding for so long by going to church and ur so inspired by it ur gettin hot about it. god works in mysterious ways, good thing too, u might've caught Him playing that trick before i told u if he wasn't.

Just to let whoever know that POD and Lifehouse are Christian too! I think that most Christian bands beat out secular ones in talent in everything they do. But I mean, God's got they're back so of course they would! :-D

I really agree with EmericanSkater. But all of you need to stop bitching about music. It's music. Listen to whatever the fuck you want. If you dont like it... then turn it off. Nobody's forcing you to listen to anything you don't want to.

blinkfan... your stupid. You cant say a band sucks because they have depth in their lyrics. Blink wrote TOYPAJ in 2 weeks. Yes, two fucking weeks. so why dont you learn what the hell your talking about, their new stuff sucks ass live, they write easy music and THEY CANT EVEN PLAY IT. Blink was only good pre-enema of the state.

ducttapeguy4187- i think there is a prbly with secular music. music makes an entrance into your soul, music moves and dictates ur words and motions. how can you say it is "okay" to sway to marylin manson. why would you, as the "christian" you portray yourself as, feel the need to listen to anything other than God gloriyin music. hmm i dont nkow. secular music can be disrespectful to yourself and others, it riducles peoples, cultures and beleifs. how is their nothing wrong with that??? ps- Go Jesus and Relient K is super cool

It's been said before, and I'll say it again. If you don't like what Relient K is saying, or don't respect their beliefs, you don't have to listen to their music. And if you don't like Relient K, why are you posting to this board? They're not shoving God down your throat. They're putting out what they believe, and putting a lot of emotion behind it. I think that one guy said it best, Christian bands have a lot of emotion behind their lyrics, and that is one of the best things a song can have. Some of the best bands out there are emo/punk bands like Further Seems Forever, Relient K, Dashboard Confessional, and The Starting Line. It's because of the drive behind their music. It moves people. There is no drive behind a lot of today's music. I must admit, some of Blink's songs are in good taste (like that 'Heres your holiday' song, good drive behind the lyrics).

first i gotta say before i start...chris of dashboard is christian. MTV has recently realized what punk really is after they've eased preteen america into it with soft semi-rebelious bands like blink 182. now with fanastic bands like dashboard, the white stripes, the hives and so on, they know what real music is. all different kinds of punk represent different points of view and have a different way of being portrayed. it's ashame that people are so divdied that they start to hate one an other in their own social status. relient k has songs that arn't "god rock" as people call it. just as POD does and just as anyother christian band that's fallen on the ears of regular radio listeners. relient k has the same tounge and cheek humor as any fun pop-punk band. they've even been noticed by MTV for the work. Ellis-Bunim has bought some of the rights to RK's second album "anatomy of the tounge and cheek" to be featured on the new season of road rules. RK's has also been featured at the skate and surf festival in NJ with the likes of FURTHER SEEMS FOREVER, THE STARTING LINE, and FINCH, and the band has been played on the WB show Smallville. No matter what your religous belief, it shuldn't affect anyone's listening to any kind of music, no matter how secular one may think it is. I am a christian and proud to say it but i see there no reason to tune into my local christian music station and cruise on down the road or pump my RK cd as loud as i can so everyone hears the word. god's got bigger plans for evyerone than to argue over the merit of music abiliy (unless of course that's ur job). sorry i rant and rave so much, but when someone feels so insecure that they have to put down an entire faith, kinda sucks

OMG, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL AND BLINK 182 ARE SOO PUNK... *pukes*.... pop-punk bullshit, they are. Now, i'm not going to say christian bands beat out secular bands in talent, but most christian based music has a lot more emotion put in to it... I've been listening to a lot of christian metal lately, because it's the heavy sound i like with 10 times more emotion than most other metal.... check out mortification or whitecross.

Relient K rocks my world, this song talks so deep about how vain people are when they only think about themselves and they forget the sacrifices others have made (espically Jesus Christ) for us!
