this song refers to one of the band member's brothers (i believe it was Pittman's bro). and its about that he could have died and everyone would be sad but they would be happy that he would go to heaven

Well, it's kinda supposed to be serious. I mean, all of this stuff could really happen...drive too fast and hit a tree and you'll end up getting staples in your skin to hold it together. The message is also serious, but it's not necessarily "don't be stupid", it's more like "be careful because people care about you, but if something does happen and you die, then you'd better make sure that you know where you're going."

I really like this song because it is unlike so many other songs that are out there. I mean, it's not every song on the radio that breaks away and screams KACHUNK! hehe... it makes me laugh. I do believe that it does have a serious side to it...especially to me who is going to get her liscense soon... don't drive too fast. But this is another goodie to sing/shout down the hallways at school lol

I think in some sense its supposed to be serious...to show what speeding and driving poorly can do. They're a good band and I dont think they would make fun of something like that.

I don't know if this song is supposed to be serious or not, but it seems like it isn't. It's like one of those songs that jokes around, but the main point is serious: Don't be stupid.

I think that "speed" is just referring to fastness...say, the driver was going WAY too fast and lost control, so he hit a tree. But still, don't do drugs! :D

I burst out laughing when I first heard the kachunk kachunk! and the second and the third... and this last time too... it's just too funny the idea that staples were holding his life together... it's reflective...
