| there is kinda a hidden track, rewind right at the begining and u will hear them hummming mmmhmmm for like 20 seconds, it's kinda cool, and i love the line ***I admit that I’m every bit deserving But the beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair*** because the truth is we all deserve hell, but jesus came to save the us even though we didn't deserve it... ah it's so amazing and great! :) peace out | |

| I think by "i'm giving up, i'm doing this alone now" has to do with not following other peoples ideas on what it takes to be righteous, and taking up your own cross.. not blaming others for your actions, but accepting fault for your sins. you can make plenty of other parallels between this song and religion (the line on grace, the last verse), and i would assume that it refrences this too. However, i Definately Love the piano in this song, and throughout the album.. And has anyone seen the music video. I think its amazing how much MattT doesn't look like a rock star in it. It makes me laugh | |

| "I fought You for so long I should have let You in Oh how we regret those things we do And all I was trying to do was save my own skin But so were You" those last two lines confused me for a while. I presumed that the "you" in this case is God, but why would God be trying to save his own skin? Then I thought, he's trying to save Matt's skin, presumably because the methods Matt were using weren't working. He thought God (or whoever) was working against him, but in reality he was working against himself. | |

| This song is awesome; it's about giving your life to God and putting your trust in Him. THE VIDEO LEADS YOU TO BELIEVE THIS IS ABOUT A GIRL, IT IS NOT. "I fought You for so long I should have let You in Oh how we regret those things we do And all I was trying to do was save my own skin But so were You" How can a girl save his skin and from what? He was running from God and then realized that he should put his trust in God. I was upset that the last part of the song is omitted from the video - not cool. | |

| once again, this song is pretty damn cool. this band doesn't shove religion into the song so you can interpret with religious intent or without. its great | |

| Nothing will ever beat their original self titles album :) But I do like mmhmm a lot! I love this song. I agree with the first poster, about rejecting Christ in the past and then finally giving in to God's grace. I think it goes hand in hand with the song "Who I am hates who I've been" (number 10 for those playing along at home). | |
