| a lot of their songs are about wings. in Chloroform Days, they say "On terrible wings, no change in the weather." in Motorcycle they say, "Simple wings are simply pulled apart." and now in Save Me they say "i feel my wings have broken in your hands." Why the repeated mentions of wings? does it have some kind of meaning? | |

| To me the song just seems to be of total desperation... Not from any particular romance, perhaps. It's just life has broken them down and now they are craving some sort of relationship and are perhaps always being let down and are just desperate for someone to come into their life and help them and STAY. They've been left too many times, and now they just need SOMEONE. Thats what it means to me... Because I can totally relate. | |

| This song can mean so many different things. In my opinion i believe it expresses the feeling of desperation that one feels in their time of greatest need. It is as if someone is pleading with someone to save them from what's happening to them. This song is the WB's "Smallville"'s themesong and I think it truly is a well suited song for this show (being that superman is one of the greatest superheroes of all time). Whenever I hear this song on the show or elsewhere I feel like I can make a difference in someones life or change it for the better in someway and i think this song delivers that message very clearly. | |
