| "These world collide but the distance remains, we point the finger never except the blame" That just might be a reference to the stupid fucking War going on right now. That we're going there making world collide but still there's huge distance and Bush and all his little bastards are just pointing the finger to so and so and such instead of taking the blame that he fucked up into getting us into some dumbass war. Sorry it really pisses me off how someone sooo stupid has mislead our whole country into a war. So fucking pissed. Anyway "And you won't ever find us kneeling or swallowing your lies" This is all self explainitory. People know what you're doing you selfish son of a bitch. And we're not going to believe your bullshit. *sigh* I love Rise Against | |

| well, It's just as bad in europe. And as all our plants die (in spring) en we get nosebleeds from the dust and the pollution, we wonder if we have brought tis upon ourselves "we point the finger, never accept the blame" And the funny thing is that you keep on hoping for rain, even though the weather forecast predicts burning sun for the coming 5 months or something, you still hope for some miracle, or pray or do rain dances or whatever it takes to change that situation. Its funny how people change theis attitudes when they are confornted with a situation so hopeless. | |

| im form australia and at the moment we are goin through a terrible drought. To mean the song is about a farmer who is struggling with bushfires and without rain he cant do anything to save his farm or his family. He wants the rain badly. The line "these worlds colide but the distance remains" to me is how differnt the world seems. for example In the US it was floodied not to long ago but here in aus we havnt had rain for a long time. and the line "if i held my ground would you ask me to change" is the farmers being to that in order to survive they have to leave their farms to provide for their families | |

| Well, lets see. This song can, indeed, mean many diffrent things. It's one of my favorts on my cd, but it's clearly hard to pick a favort song on such a amazing cd as Siren Song of teh Counter Culture. But, don't to the point, this song is about problems. Problems, and how people don't take the blame for them. That's what I think. Not 100% sure, i am 100% sure that Rise Against is one of thee most amazing bands, ever. I'm not one for punkrock but these guys know how to do things. | |

| Damn.. made a typo.. 1. "what if it all disapears in the shadows? now reach for the stars" SHOULD be: What if it all dissapears in the shadows, that reach from the stars. | |
