| while i have to question why you have to be probush to sing about nine eleven i do agree that this song is probably about the fate of the world, mainly because rise against are all kind of modern day hippies, but really i just want to say that i agree with speeed. | |

| Well I'm keen for you someone to help me out if you can... I thought the lyrics were... "Feel me rise in the strength I've found inside the warm embracing air" not "Fill your eyes in the strains of thought outside the warm embracing air" Just wondering if anyone has the booklet with the right lyrics..? Different sites say different things. Listened to it a trillion times as well and can't work it out... | |

| haha no its not 9/11. i belive its the nature of the world. Rise Against feel very strongly about the fate of the world, and if you've seen the video for Ready To Fall you know what i mean. those three lines tokenwhiteguy, they mean we've done a good job fucking up the world and he obviously went camping or hiking and saw the worlds true beauty and that morning he refused to close his eyes anymore meaning that he will not turn his back to the polluting and shit anymore. it makes total sense. and theyre anti-bush so it cant be 9/11 shitstick. | |

| IM not rly very good at this analyzing song stuff. But like, sure this is about war? at least it hints at it, dying young; soldiers? innocent civilians during war? Just a thought. Also he mentions morning a lot in this song. Maybe that's a clue to what its about. | |

| you should have to be pro bush to sing about 9/11, but that ..man.. turned the entire disaster into government "vote for me or this will happen again" propaganda... but thats not the point. this is about people getting up and dong something about the world that we've pretty much destroyed. "in the wreckage of a job well done, i saw a place i'd never seen before" Its a revelation, of sorts, in which he realises that we've destroyed the world. and now he will refuse to close his eyes anymore, in that he will stop pretending not to see all the horror and destruction all around us. "what if we all die young" its sort of a 'loss of innocence' idea, i always thought. Where the young are the innocent and aren't responsible for the world's problems, but then they grow up to become part of the problem. Or it could be taken as a , if we all died young then we wouldn't be able to realise what's happening and do something about it... | |

| The wreckage of a job well done I saw a place I'd never seen before, yeah And that morning I refused to close my eyes anymore like im sure this part is about how weve fucked this world oer seriously and he cant just turn away anymore. and Don't ask me why 'Cuz I don't know Don't ask me how I'm gonna solve this on my own Don't ask me why 'Cuz I don't know These things I'll never face Scratch out the warning race The wreckage of a job well done I saw a place I'd never seen before, yeah And that morning I refused to close my eyes anymore is about how he wants to do somethin about it but he doesnt know how. | |

| I think that this song has something to do with 9/11, and like rafngard said rising up and finding something to fight for. The part that really tied it together for me was the line: "The wreckage of a job well done I saw a place I'd never seen before, yeah And that morning I refused to close my eyes anymore" I think that really says it all. | |
