Mick T. was great, but I think Brian has to be seen as the best musician the band ever had. He pushed the envelope and added so much to what was otherwise a basic white blues band. The sitars and the arrangements in all the late 60's stuff, the marimbas on Under My Thumb, the whole creativity of the band was thanks to Brian, IMHO. Mick T was a virtuouso, indeed. And you have to admit that there has hardly been a steadier, more reliable drummer tha CHarlie. From the "less is more" school. Anway, Sway - could it possibly be the first grunge song ever? I thought the same thing about their lyrics, but they get better as you spend more time thinking about them. Some of the stuff on Goat's Head Soup, and of course Sympathy for the Devil, Street Fighting Man, You Cna't Always Get What you want. It's begining to dawn on me that they were great lyricists at times.

pt- I didn't think of The Stones as great lyric writers either, until I read a few of their lyrics! They wrote some amazing stuff, including Sway.
