Standard tuning. The Roots have a very good rhythm section. Listen to the bass 
drum to get the rhythm down.  
Also, I have seen the video and seen the roots live, and i've noticed that Hub 
plays with his thumb, not as slap but more of a downstroke with his arm being 
paralled to the strings and relaxing the fingers on the pick guard, which 
produces a much fatter and deeper tone.
