it's based on two different episodes. i don't know the second ne it talks about is, but the first one is about the pilot episode titled "will the real alien please stand up" i think.

This song would be better if it didn't have a chorus (like all prog songs that have choruses - most other songs simply have no hope, chorus or not).

This had to be written after one of those late night FX Twilight Zone TV show marathons... He specifically mentions two episodes in the song. Another great song that makes 2112 still one of my Rush fave's.
