This is a really good song. I cry when I hear it cuz my uncle commited suicide and this song came out the day after we found out. Reminds me so much of him.

I think this song is about someone you felt strongly about or trusted profoundly hurting you, whether it was in that they turned out to be playing you or because they broke things off. By saying "Would you find it in your heart/To make this go away/And let me rest in pieces", the singer means that he wants her to just get out of his head, stop showing up in his life, or to stop trying to play him again, and just leave him alone...leave him alone to be broken so that he can heal. Easy to relate to, and a great song.
