| i think that he drinks her blood because his love for her is so strong. He describes the blood as "dripping down my throat as it heads for my heart." I think maybe he finds some kind of comfort having her blood close to his heart. He now holds in his heart a piece of this girl. | |

| the whole record, has a bitter feel to it. bitterness overcomes me when i listens to this song, along with the rest of the songs on "stay what you are" (this song isnt on "through being cool", getchoo uh-huh) but yes it is anger, and a lot of it. by the way emo savestheday , that is the whole point of songmeanings, isnt it ? to share and enjoy what others think about the meanings of the songs? | |

| i disagree. i introduced my friend to STD and she loved them this record that is. and i also think its still about bitterness. it talks about how the love went away.. after he killed her. | |

| Wow, you guys are probably all wrong. I don't know my self. But I'm not trying to analyze the song. Chris's feelings are in this song... what more can we ask for? I mean, who knows what this song is about but Chris. And it's fun to see your guys' opinions and stuff but it gets annoying when the song is about something that none of us will ever get unless we ask Chris himself. | |

| I think this song has to do with an ex-girl who was doing stupid things and did all the wrong things so she killed herself and everybody watched? haha.I dunno what to think about this song except it ROCKS! Maybe... because he says "Well it's nothing but dying" . . . GRRR! I can't figure this one out. Help Please! | |

| This is probably a song that turns off many people to saves the day. They see this as a "warning sign of abuse". But if you actually take time to really see what the message he is trying to send, you will discover that this song is about wanting to be so close to someone that you would drink their blood, which does sound scary...but if youve ever been in love, you understand the feeling. | |

something.. Average |

| its not about being dpressed about a girl or anything, it might not even be about a girl. it is not about a romantic relationship. it is not quite about killing someone to show them their beauty. chris said, in an interview and ill try to summarize. it is about a childhood friend of his who is/was addicted to heroin, and chris would rather kill the person than let them destroy the beauty they used to embody. | |

| i'm gonna go with EmoRockGirl314. I don't think there's much romantic in this song...it's mostly raw emotion. As with other songs on Through Being Cool, I think that the violent images are straight up anger. Even though emo SavestheDay is right too, there's nothing wrong with us tryin to figure Chris out. | |

| Face it. Chris is psycho. The first guy is right. That is what Chris said it is about... but how can anyway feel that way? I can't even begin to understand it. This song creeps me out. | |

| i love the entire stay what you are cd, but this song always stuck out to me. maybe it's just because of the way the song seems so happy and upbeat, until you start listening to how violent it is. how it's sung so sweetly. but, i've certainlty felt as though they've got the right idea from time to time.... | |

| this is probably one of the most disturbing songs image-wise. the thought of crucifying someone? *shudder* i cannot see at all how doing that would show someone their beauty. to me, it just sounds incredibly pissed off. it sounds more revenge-like than romantic. | |

| well maybe he "drinks her blood" so he can have victory over her and all the pain she caused him. | |
