This is the first song that I downloaded from Napster by STD and I loved it so much that I downloaded practically the whole CD. Then I went out and bought the CD b/c I played it so much! But yes, this was the song that started it all...I love this song so much! It is just the cutest song and I love it when he sings, "Did you know, my sweet that I once took the liberty of watching you in your sleep?" Very romantic about watching someone sleeping and the closeness and trust they feel for you to fall asleep in your presence in the first place. You care about that person so much that you are happy just being w/ them and watching them sleep. I think the part about touching the knees is to say that his love for her is deeper than sex, but he is in love w/ her whole being, and even finds her knees appealing b/c they are hers. I love how Chris sings the last line, "...trrrrying to, touch your knnnneeeees!" I need you all to play it right now and listen to the emotion and desperate like heart ache! LOL

" the person across from me, sitting in her train seat, reminded me of you..." it sucks having someone you love go away. everything and everyone reminds you of her(or him of your a girl), and this song puts it pretty good. "why don't they have phones on these things..." meaning even though you are going to see her it still isn't enough. you want to hold her or at least her her voice on the other end. i think it is just a perfect song for a shitty situation

I think this song is about how when you're away from someone you love and all you can do is remember everything you guys shared and how every little thing reminds you of that person. I can relate.

I only heard about this song just after I ended my long distance relationship. It brings back so many of those things that used to drive me to see her. It's a tough situation, but this song reminds me why I stuck with it so long. I know I used to watch her in her sleep, and that's when my heart would swell the most. Not sure about the knee remark... any thoughts?

This is my all-time favorite saves the day song. Can you imagine watching the one you love in their sleep? If you can, then this song should make the most sense of any song ever written. Every little thing remind you of somebody, gotta love this one too.

Everything seemed a little easier When we weren’t one hundred miles apart The person across from me Sitting in her train seat Reminded me of you thats so true, anytime im away from home everyone starets to lok like people i know. chris is amazing, just saying "everything was melon and orange" how perfect of a description for a sunset is melon? i'd also like to add that there is nothing like living in new jersey and being a std fan, it just doesnt sound the same outside of the state

Even of all the new good stuff, this is still my favorite Saves the Day song. I dont' know why, reading over the lyrics to make sure I had everything right, they aren't really beautiful or inspiring, but listen to the song- there is something about it.

by far one of my favorite std songs. isn't it crazy how chris has a song for almost every moment in your life? my favorite line in the song is "out there in the offing everything was melon and orange" someone told me that he was describing the sky which is an absolutely beautiful way to think of it. he's a genius.

This song is so sweet. I don't know about you Action man but crap, i love that watching you in your sleep line. It is really touching. I like the harmonization in this song. Is that just chris dubbing over his voice or is it actually somone else? Cuz they/he sounds awesome.

To me.... the coolest thing about having a person fall asleep in your arms or next to you ... its that you trust that person that much to have them there as you sleep..... maybe that is just me.......... Anyways this song is so amazing....... How distance away from the one you love can make you think so much about them it controls all your thoughts.

i love this song.. it's so sweet. I'm actually listening to it right now and i can relate so much... my boyfriend has been gone almost all summer - i've seen him 10 times in the past two months since he's been traveling so much. :( "Everything seemed a little easier when we weren’t one hundred miles apart"...so true. and after a while, everyone reminds me of him. i miss him so much and yes, i m stuck thinking about him
