	I'm not positive that it's about a gay guy coming out to his mother. You shouldn't assume that just because the lead singer is gay all his lyrics are about being gay. The lyrics to this just simply seem like a man who's lady left him, and now the only woman in his life is his mother.

	This song makes me think of wanting our parents to believe in us and accept us simply for being ourselves. Freedom to figure out ourselves: our preferances, beliefs, anything! "Coming out," could be sexual, political, religious, anything that our parents don't want to accept about us because it goes against what they believe. That crazy-strong desire that a child has to want his parent's acceptance and unconditional love.

	It's pretty clear the song is about a gay guy coming out to his mother. But it's about saying "f*ck it", not taking it so seriously, and just having fun and "doing the best we can". I think the part in the chorus that goes "take your mama out" is sort of a play on words--the word "out" being a pretty big clue as to what the song is about. I don't like any of the other songs I've heard by this band, but I can't stop listening to this one. I love it!
