i think the part that Krwlng_n_mie_skn didn't know what 'i wanna hold you high' meant was that he wants to hold the girl up high.. like on a pedestal or something. but thats just a hunch..

this song is about how someone feels towards someone and he wants show his affection to her and he tells her that he can't don ne thing without her. great song i love you chrissy

Well it seems to be the verses tell of two different things. The first verse is about the hardship of a long distance relationship. He's talking about how he loves her laugh and how the photograph will serve him well. However in the second verse, it seems they are back together again. Hince "the worst is over now" "there's no one left to fight." And the chorus is just telling about how much they need one another and how weak they are without each other. It's a very beautiful touching song about love. And I personally loved Amy Lee's vocals added, but then again, I plan on marrying her some day, lol. I wish...

Also, if someone could explain the line about "I wanna hold you high" i am missing the symbolism i think, unless he just means that he wants to hold her above all his other relationships.
