I agree with both of you on the meaning, and I can't believe more people haven't commented!! I am proud to say that although I've never fit in, I've never tried to either. I act the same in public, or in private, and I think people who do try to fit in just look ridiculous. That doesn't mean that I don't feel bad for them, 'cause I do, since I know what it's like. But, all you can do, in the words of Chris Cornell of Audioslave is "Be Yourself". MaggieMichelle

I cant believe no one has commented on this song! Come on wheres the seether fans! People try anything to fit in and make people seem like a bigger freak than what they are. If all you worry about in your life is fitting in with people then youre a hypocrite and theyve sucked you in like a cigarette!

Wanna Be

"by GUILLOTINEinc This songs about women. End of story." Want to expand on that view? I can see where you might be coming from there - as some guys feel that all girls do is make them 'feel like a hypocrite because you cannot lie." but in all the other lines i dont think this relates to women, 'we wanna be like you" unless saun wants to be like a woman.. i disagree with GUILLOTINEinc. I do however agree that this song is very much to do with politics - the world we live in today is full of hypocrites and we 'cannot run' they're (politics) trying to create the 'perfect society' whereby everyone (generally) is trying to fit in and comply. But in reality this world is far from perfect - 'hanging you out with their whiskey breath'

I agree with all the above, I also think this song has some references to politicians, due to the talk of hypocrits and never being set free. does anyone else think that?
