	Strange that this song has the most comments and this isn't even close to their best song....I kind of don't like his vocals in this one though.... And ironic that in saying this I've added to the number of replies. Excuse Me While I Kill Myself, Noose, Neverlasting, Her Last Five Minutes, and End of the Road are my favorites.

	What Adrenalinne said (apart from the unnecessary angst). Not too keen on this song, although the video is great (would have been even better if they'd just ommitted the band from it entirely and focused on the old guy).

	This song is legendary, real creative lyrics I think. I love how sentenced expresses feelings, it's such a good song lyrically and musically.

	I think that this song is talking about a guy's view of his relationship with his love. He is saying that an unwanted third party has slithered its way into his relationship(witch is why he compared that third party to a serpent) and it is killing the passion he and his lady have. He sees the storm coming, and the fire in their relationship freezes to ice, killing their love.

	It has nothing to do with a "third party". Nothing necessarily at all. The serpent in paradise is supposed to be a symbol of mistrust or betrayal. It's supposed to mean that something is coming between them, killing their feelings, and their relationship is falling apart because of it. I know because I can totally relate to the lyrics, not by "hating school and parents and everything" o_O If you feel like that, go listen to Slipknot's first album and stop listening to emotional songs like this one.
