| Daniel Johns has said basically every song on Frogstomp was inspired by t.v. He probably wrote this about some conflict in Israel he saw on tv but i think a lot of the confused emotion has to do with his own life. He was 15 and taking some shit at school when he wrote all these songs. The "apathy" bit i think he basically knicked from Kurdt like a lot of the themes on this record even if silverchair sound much more like Pearl Jam on the first record. On their second album there's a song called "Abuse Me" that reminds me of Nirvana's "Rape Me" lyrically and thematically anyway. Their third album is less hard but still way more original "Neon Ballroom." | |

| I think this song is about hating someone so much and just wanting them dead. This song is amazing anyways. Silverchair rocks. | |

| Killing people to this song? That's absurd! I've never killed anyone to this song, nor would I ever consider it... no sir, I listen to heavier stuff when I kill people. | |

| Could this song be about the execution of Jesus? Because he was from Israel, and some people may refer to him as "Israels son" as he spread the word of god to the Jews and the Israelis have always been known as the "Chosen Race" .....just a thought, I'm not saying thats for sure. But this song seems to have a really deep meaning and I thought it may have been biblical. | |

| this song is about the sun slowly burning out on the martians time because the martians were horrible enviormentalist and polluted the entire solar system and since they're gone and we're all that's left the sun is just taking out it's revenge on us...the song was supposed to be called israel's sun but the writing wasn't clear and it was printed the wrong way so they just let it be | |

| It's about wartime atrocities I think. Did anyone here about that murder in America, where a guy and his friend killed his parents and kid brother then kicked the bodies around the house whilst listening to this song? | |
