Smelling dead roses...could this song be about being torn between two loves?

well, it references the black death "smelling dead roses...but i wont fall down" SEE: ringaringaroses; a rhyme about the black death. the plague is a metaphor?

Is this maybe about having a relationship with two girls, but wanting one of them to maybe be on a physical level... "Take your mind with you There's no room for two" I have no idea, I'm definately not the greatest at decifering Daniel Johns' mind.

The first verse is just Daniel Johns being depressed on the mic. It sounds sweet though; the guitar and drums hit hard together as they do in most Silverchair songs. Now in the second verse, I think 'in red weather' is right about being torn between two loves. There's "no room for two" and he "can't handle both of you." Also, "smelling dead roses" is a metaphor for foreseeing the end of a relationship.
