| I would definatly say that this song is about a relationship, however, i think that the guy in the relationship feels safe in the it, "you are the fire on my apartment floor, sixteen stories, i'd rather burn the fall" I would say that he would rather be with "her" rather then be single...just a thought. | |

| "You Are The Fire On My Apartment Floor, 16 Stories, I'd Rather Burn Than Fall" Fooking best lyics ever there! I tink it means...He is in love with a girl, and wants to be with this girl forever. But at the same time he is with someone else....but would rather be with the girl he loves (the fire), than fall in love with someone else. And also i think this girl is with someone else...and he can either wait for her relationship to end (if it ever does) or move on. And at the end of the song he moves on... | |

| This song is obviously about leaving the girl of your deams, but I am thinking that they possibly may have never had a relationship. I am just thinking that the guy loves the girl to death and she is in love with someone else. Maybe seeing them together hurts alot which is why I believe he says I know I need your comfort, but this drama makes me sick, instead of this trouble makes me sick. I also believe that the guy is having mixed emotions of wether he should stay here with the hope of them eventually ending up together, or leaving because he could be waiting for nothing. He knows that he may never have a chance, and that the more time he spends with her, the more his love will grow and leaving will be even harder. "The longer I lay here I know it's harder to get up without you." Just My Interpretation Buy yeah I can really relate to this song at the time. | |

| "You are the fire on my apartment floor, 16 stories I'd rather burn than fall" Sounds more like he's saying if he had to chose between being alone or being with the girl knowing that both choices leave him basically dead, he'd rather just stay with her. | |

| I see it totally different. I see the couple, but i see a tragic break up. It looks more like the girl in the relationship "asked for a break" and was trying to go with other guys on this "break" then decides a couple of days later that she just wants to break up. The guy morns and is sad about it. Then gets angry about everything then decides to just give all hope of a relationship with that girl again. Then the girl comes back and askes for him back and this is pretty much what he tells her. "you'll call it fate, i'll call it karma" | |

| i think that Turbovolver is soooo right. like the whole suicide thing. i love this song and i can relate to it so well but i also belive that he loves her and she just wants to get away. such as in the relationship is causing alot drama and is just wasting time to her. and he will move on no matter what it takes. | |

| I love this song so much ! its my favorite one on the ~album. the best part is the end after thee little guitar solo and he starts: ---> "goodbye old friend goodbye goodnight i'll move on you'll call it fate, i'll call it karma we had our time, it was fun while it lasted i'll look back, with honor and no regrets i won't be mad, won't feel bad these memories will never leave me don't be sad cause life goes on, life goes on it's getting too late tomorrow is here " ~anywaz...i think its about him being all depressed that his freind or girlfreind has to leave ( watever the reason ) and he realizes that life goes on, and that he needs to get over the fact that they are leaving for good. ~hes saying this is happening randomly, while they're is saying it was thier destination and it was meant to be form the beginning. ~hes saying he will never forget them, and will never forget thier good times, but he realizes the fact that he has to move on... | |

| i agree with every last one of you even if that may sound contridictory i think that the 3 ppl i agree with most would have to be MattSmitty, Vintage me, and Turbovolver because they seem to have the most insight | |

| these two were never in a relationship in my opinion. leaving to get out of the situation because it hurts too much. i hate saying its the guy who is leaving the girl because in my situation, im the girl who is leaving the boy. he has made this harder than i could ever imagine. i just have to suck it up and say goodbye old friend. who knows if i could ever do it. but admire the character in the song who leaves. it takes a lot of strength to just lift your head high and move on. saying goodbye and having no regrets and no bitter feelings left over. because i know, even if i do move on eventually... the bitter feelings will remain. they will endure and they will stay with me for the rest of my life. they say.... you never get over your first love. and i believe them.. whoever "they" are... | |
